Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan are three islands located around 20 km away from Bali to the south-east. Each of these Islands are very unique for their beauty and even local dialects spoken.

Nusa Penida is the largest island, although the least explored. It has hidden beautiful pristine beaches which are not easy accessible and are for more adventurous spirits. There are few conservation centers protecting plants, birds and turtles on the island. The entire area is actually since recently Marine Protected Area. The two other islands, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan are almost connected. There is very shallow strain in between them which is mainly used for sea weed farming. That might be the reason why many people don`t even realize that there are actually three islands.

Nusa Lembongan, where Big Fish Diving is based, is famous not only for diving but as well as a great surf spot. This makes it one of the most alive islands from the three. Most of the days here are adorned with stunning sunsets.

When diving around islands, you will likely to see the large pelagic, such as Manta Ray’s (Manta Birostris) which are around all year. At certain seasons also Mola Mola (Oceanic Sunfish) are often visitors. Otherwise coral reefs surrounding are vibrant with life and vibrant.

On the days when you would like to relax from diving, definitely explore mangroves. It can be done by kayak or stand up paddle board. For those interested more into a leisure sightseeing, lot of local people offer a slow boat ride through the mangroves.
